These Terms govern your use of PearScribe, operated by PearWise ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using PearScribe, you agree to these Terms.

1. What PearScribe Is

PearScribe is a documentation assistant for allied health professionals (occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, and related practitioners). It helps you transcribe sessions, generate structured reports from templates, and organise supporting documents. It is a tool, not a clinician — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before it becomes part of a client's record.

2. Your Responsibilities

You must hold the appropriate professional registration/qualifications for the services you document using PearScribe.
You are responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated reports — review before use. PearScribe does not guarantee clinical accuracy.
You are the custodian of your client database (the .ahadata file) — see privacy.php for what that means, including your own record-keeping obligations under AHPRA/NDIS Practice Standards.
You must keep your password and recovery key safe. We cannot recover a lost client database.
You must not use PearScribe for anything unlawful, or to process data you're not authorised to handle.

3. Accounts and Billing

Pricing: $15 AUD/user/month, or $100 AUD/month for organisations of up to 10 people. There is no free tier or trial period — payment is taken at signup. Billing is not yet live on this deployment — this section will be updated once Stripe billing is connected.

4. AI Processing

Report generation and transcription are performed by third-party AI providers (currently Groq for transcription, Anthropic/Claude for report generation) — see privacy.php Section 2 for details. You must tick the consent checkbox before each recording session, confirming you understand this.

5. Availability and Liability

PearScribe is provided "as is" during this beta/early-access period. We do not guarantee uptime or that AI-generated content will be error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Termination

You may stop using PearScribe at any time — since your client data lives in your own file/Drive, there is nothing further to "export" from us. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms periodically and will notify you by email before material changes take effect.
